National Endometriosis Awareness Month

March is National Endometriosis Awareness Month, a great time to learn more about this painful disease and what you can do about it.

More than 830,000 (more than 11%) Australian women, girls, and individuals assigned female at birth may suffer from endometriosis at some point in their lives, with the onset of the disease typically occurring during adolescence.

What exactly is endometriosis? It occurs when cells that resemble those lining the endometrium develop in other areas of the body.

Endometriosis symptoms can have a debilitating impact on quality of life. There is no cure, and diagnosis and treatment options are frequently invasive and irritating.

Endometriosis is a painful disease that affects 1 in 9 women. Yet, most sufferers have minimal treatment options, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Here is your chance to support the Fight ENDO Foundation Australia. A small donation will help us continue our fight for better treatments and find a cure for endometriosis.
